Heard in the Anteroom by Arthur Bloomer

A series of Masonic sketches reprinted from the short-lived “Masonic Disciple,” meant to
counter the “Masonic literature that is extremely heavy and runs to preachments” (from
the Introduction). Arthur “Pard” Bloomer (1853-1908) was a printer and member of
Columbia Typographical Union No. 101 and a Mason connected with many chapters. He
died suddenly of uremic poisoning in 1908.
