Computer Revolution by Edmund Berkeley

A book by computer scientist, insurance actuary, and peace activist Edmund Berkeley, in which he provides a history of computers, how they function and differ from the human brain, their role in the Second Industrial Revolution, their application in peace, war, and business, and their probable long-term effects in society. Berkeley was the founder and editor of the first computer magazine, Computers and Automation, an anti-nuclear activist involved with SANE, and coiner of the term “computer art.”
